For as long as us humans have existed, there has never been anything quite as powerful as a good story. Stories motivate us, educate and move us. As a maker I am obsessed with storytelling in any shape or form. Whether it be through still images, text or film, I always have one goal in mind when working on a project: To evoke the experience of introspection. In my work it is not what’s happening the surface that takes the center stage, but the subjective layer beyond what’s normally accessible to our rational understanding of ourselves. With this experience I want my audience to start thinking more extensively about the source of our deepest wants and the moral responsibilities that come with thriving in a shared society.
